Selbu Vesle Tronder (Little Tronder)

Enjoy Selbu’s softest yarn yet! Wonderful for baby clothing as well as for those with skin sensitivities.

For this yarn, the wonderful folks at Selbu Spinneri selected the softest wool from Norwegian sheep. The wools comes from Norwegian Merino, Norwegian Kvit Sau and Grå Trøndersau sheep. The wool is washed, carded and spun in small batches at their small factory in Klæbu, Norway. The wool is treated very gently, so that it retains its wonderful properties. The yarn is thin with a hint of unevenness that gives the knitwear a lovely lively feel. Vesle Trønder baby yarn is particularly suitable for garments that can be close to the body and baby knitwear. It is suitable for little Trønders and anyone else who likes soft wool. Warm and comfortable, both for fine dining and hiking.

PLEASE NOTE: Vesle Tronder comes in a variety of versions at different price-points based on processing. The natural colors require less processing so are therefore the most economical. The dyed versions of yarns are more labor intensive and are, as a result, slightly more expensive, with the hand-dyed being the most expensive in the Vesle Tronder line of yarns.
