Socks anyone? We welcome a new yarn from Hillesvåg to the collection at SUFibers! Fjære, named for the Intertidal area of the Fjords of Norway, is the latest sock yarn coming from Norway! While most of the yarns from Hillesvåg are 100% wool, the wonderful people from Hillesvåg realize that it is not particularly practical for socks. They have added 20% nylon for strength and have created Fjære! The non-superwash yarns come in a lovely array of 18 colors. To start with SUFibers is pleased to offer 6 lovely Fall colors. Fjære is worked on size 2.5-3mm (2.5 U.S.) needles, and has gauge of 28-30 stitches and 40-44 rows over 10cm x 10cm/4 x 4”. Available in 50g or 100 g. Approximate need for one pair of adult socks is 100g total.
